From VH1 Celebrity 11/8/11

According to TVLine.com, on tonight’s episode of Glee, “The First Time,” both Rachel and Finn, and Kurt and Blaine will have sex for the first time. Given the way the show has been hit-or-miss this season, we’re crossing our fingers the episode lives up to the buildup, kinda the way young couples cross their fingers about losing their V-cards. And as we wait for the big moment, we thought we’d bide our time by looking back at all the other great “losing it” moments in TV teen history. (Youtube clips originally included in this story are no longer available.)

Beverly Hills, 90210: Brenda loses it to Dylan in “Spring Dance” (Season 1)
“How many girls get to have sex for the first time with someone they love?” Brenda asks Dylan, before they do the deed in a hotel room while the dance is still going on. His smooth reply: “I don’t know. I’ve never really taken an opinion poll.”

Dawson’s Creek: Joey loses it to Pacey in “Winter’s Tale” (Season 4)
After nine months of dating, Joey and Pacey almost ruin their senior ski trip with their many angst-ridden conversations about sex. But finally, she decides to do it, telling Pacey, “This is about how you carried my bag off the bus yesterday. This is about how when we go to the movies and you buy popcorn, you always make sure you bring back a napkin so I don’t wipe all the grease on my jeans. … You taught me how to drive. And last year at prom, you knew that the bracelet I was wearing was my mom’s.”

Felicity: Felicity loses it to Eli in “The Fugue” (Season 1)
After so many frustrated attempts at losing it to Noel, Felicity tries to move on with a hot art student she barely knows. In the studio. After he draws her. Not a whole lot of conversation precedes their tryst, but in her “Dear Sally” tape recording, she recounts, “When I woke up, I wasn’t sure if it had really happened, or if it had been a dream, an incredibly realistic dream. There were pastel drawings and abstract paintings. It smelled like turpentine. He kissed my neck. I kissed him back.”

The O.C.: Seth and Summer lose it to each other in “The Heartbreak” (Season 1)
Seth just broke up with Anna, so he has to deliver a speech before convincing Summer that she’s not his rebound: “For me, it’s always been you, Summer. I’ve tried to fight it and tried to deny it and I can’t do it. You’re undeniable.” Unfortunately, their first encounter is, well, not so undeniable.

Gossip Girl: Blair loses it to Chuck in “Victor/Victrola” (Season 1)
After Blair does an impromptu striptease in the club Chuck has just opened, she gets a ride home and a little something extra in her frienemy’s limo. Their pre-sex talk: “Thanks for the lift home.” “You were amazing out there.”

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Buffy loses it to Angel in “Surprise” (Season 2)
“I love you. I try not to, but I can’t stop,” Angel tells Buffy after they barely escape a few attempts on their lives at her surprise birthday party. And then he gets his soul ripped out and turns into the evil Angelus.

Doogie Howser, M.D.: Doogie and Wanda lose it in “The Summer of ’91″ (Season 3)
Doogie fantasizes about doing it with pottery, like in Ghost (oh, the ’90s!), before Wanda leaves for college, but he almost screws it all up by being a doctor first, boyfriend second. But Wanda forgives him with this speech: “It just seems sad. I’ve loved you like no one else for the past two years. Since my mom died, you were the most important person in my life, and if I didn’t know anything else, I knew the first time should have been with you.”
